Aisling Bea

Aisling was born on March 16 1984, at Kildare Ireland. She is one of Ireland's most successful and well-known comedians. She has been featured on QI, as well as Stephen Fry. Aisling Cliodhnadh O'Sullivan (born 16 March 1984) is better known by her stage name Aisling Bea is an Irish comedian and actress from Ireland. Bea started her professional career with stand-up comedy in the year 2011 after playing small roles she appeared on Irish and British television dramas from 2009. In 2012, she started to appear regularly on sketch and sitcoms. In the wake of her success at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards, she was invited to appear on a number of panel shows. In 2016, and in 2017, she served as a team leader for 8 Out of 10 Cats. Also, she is a contestant of 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. Her parents are Brian O'Sullivan and Helen O'Sullivan. She has a younger sister, Sinead. She was the winner of the So You think You're Funny Award twice. Bea, her maiden name, was a tribute to her father who passed away. Aisling Cliodhnadh, O'Sullivan is a Kildare born girl. She was born in March 16, 1984. Bea's father Brian was an equine vet who killed himself when she was only three years old. Bea didn't learn how the death of her father occurred until she turned thirteen. In 2017, she wrote an essay for The Guardian about the suicide of her father's family. She also took on the stage name Bea in tribute. Bea's mom Helen was also a jockey-trainer and former pro jockey was in charge of the care of her daughter as well as Sinead. The family was in love with racing and horses. Bea was a child a tour guide at the Irish National Stud. From an early age, Bea knew that she did not want to pursue a racing career. She was more interested in the performing arts.
